Stone Soup

Beef stew meat, tomatoes and a selection of vegetables give this healthy soup great flavor--and it's so simple to make.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cooked and chopped
- 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 16 ounce can sliced stewed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups diced celery
- 1 cup canned lima beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups red potatoes, diced
- 1 cup whole kernel corn
- 2 4 ounce cans mushrooms
- 5 cubes beef bouillon
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 quarts water

Method
Heat water to boiling over medium high, then add meat, onion, and beef bouillon. Stir until well mixed. Now add all remaining ingredients, mix, and reduce heat to medium low. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Notes: Make sure potatoes are soft prior to serving.
