Spicy Pumpkin Chili

Canned pumpkin adds to the flavor as well as the consistency of this chili, making it slightly thick. Make it as spicy as you like by using mild or hot salsa.Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 (16 ounce) jar mild chunky style salsa
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
- 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons bottled hot chipotle pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

Method
Brown ground turkey in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat; drain well. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Stir well and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Serve in wide bowls topped with cheese.
Notes: This chili is so quick to put together, but it has that "simmered all day taste". It has the added nutritional benefit of sneaking in a healthy serving of pumpkin. Everyone loves this, and it freezes well too.
