
This rich "hot" sausage and potato soup is made with chicken broth and whipping cream. There's also red sweet pepper and chopped kale for color.
Combine sausage, potatoes, red pepper, kale, and chicken broth. Put into a crock pot and cook about 3 1/2 hours on high. Add cream and cook for 20-30 minutes to heat through. Ladle into sourdough bread bowls.
Notes:
Cream can be omitted, however the cream adds a rich texture.
