A quick and easy stew with beef cube steak, carrots and potatoes.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces beef cube steak
  • 1 onion
  • 6-8 potatoes
  • 1 small pack baby carrots
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4-1 cup cooking oil
  • 6 1/2 cups water

Method

Season meat to your liking with salt and pepper. Fry meat over medium heat in a small amount of oil until golden brown. When meat is done cut each piece into fourths. Wash vegetables and cut potatoes into fourths. Cut carrots in half and chop onions. In large stock pot add 6 cups water, potatoes, onions, carrots, butter and meat. Mix flour and 1/2 cup water together and pour in pot. Season to taste. Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.

 

Notes: Can be served alone or rice/potatoes.
