This creamy leek and onion soup would make a great appetizer for your next dinner party.
Wash leeks well and slice.
Place in a saucepan with next 7 ingredients.
Cover and cook until tender.
Strain through a sieve, being sure to push as much of the vegetable through as possible.
Reheat.
Just before serving, add white pepper and cream.
Serve hot.
Notes:
Garnish with dried chives and a pinch of nutmeg.
