Mom's Stew

A healthy, easy-to-make soup made with hamburger, tomatoes, potatoes and mixed veggies.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, cubed and boiled
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Brown ground beef in Dutch oven and drain fat. Add all remaining ingredients to ground beef. Let simmer 30 minutes.

 

Notes: You can use any combination of vegetables. It is a matter of choice. I also use cabbage if I have it on hand.
