Mexi-Chili

A mixture of ground meats, with onion, chilies, tomato soup and sauce, plus chili beans and ranch dressing mix combine to make this chili.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground spicy sausage
  • (or two pounds of any other combination of ground meat)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can chili beans
  • 1 small can diced green chilies
  • 1 small can diced jalapeno peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • 1 package ranch salad dressing mix (dry)
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can tomato sauce (or more)
  • 1 bag crushed corn chips (any kind)
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomato
  • chopped onion
  • shredded cheese
  • sour cream

Method

Brown all the ground meat with chopped onion; drain off fat. Put cooked meat and onion in a big pot on stove. Add chili beans, green chilies (do not drain), jalapeno peppers (do not drain), garlic cloves, ranch dressing mix, tomato soup and tomato sauce; stir well. Add more tomato sauce, if you like your chili thinner. Let cook long enough to blend flavors. When ready to eat, put crushed corn chips in bowl. Cover chips with chili. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and sour cream.
