Mason Soup

This soup combines Italian sausage and canned chicken in a mixture of chicken broth, canned tomatoes, onion, and garlic with orzo pasta.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 mild Italian sausages
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 1 can of chicken
  • 1 large can of chopped or diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup of dried onions
  • Garlic to your taste
  • 1 cup of orzo pasta
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Simmer Italian sausages until done, then drain well and slice into small pieces; brown in large soup pot. Add chicken broth, onions, chicken, garlic, and tomatoes; cook on medium to low heat for 20 min. Add pasta and cook about 6 minutes before serving.

 

Notes: Do not drain any of canned products; just open and dump in pot. You can also add some dried green and red peppers. I also use canned crushed garlic. Sometimes I add more tomatoes.

 

Number of Servings: 10 or more
