
A family heirloom recipe--soft dumplings in a savory tomato broth.
In Dutch oven, on medium heat, add tomatoes and butter, cook until butter has melted and soup is at a gentle boil. While tomato mixture is heating, stir together remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl. When soup is at gentle boil, drop dough mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls into soup, cover, reduce heat to simmer, and let simmer for 30 minutes.

My granny used to make this when I was little, and no one seemed to know how she did it, so I tried for years to come up with a match, and I finally did it. It was so nice to finally have a childhood favorite in the family again.
