CherRita's Famous Turkey Chili

Turkey is added to create a spin on a classic chili recipe. Cayenne pepper, Old Bay seasoning and McCormick's chili mix also add flavor.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds (Shady Brook Farms) Ground Turkey Meat
  • 5 dashes of McCormick's Hot Sauce
  • 1 Can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Package (McCormick's) Chili Seasoning Mix
  • 1 Can of Light Red Kidney Beans
  • 5 Pinches of McCormick's Cayenne Pepper
  • A Touch of McCormick's Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 Cup of Diced Green, Red & Yellow Peppers
  • 4 Cups of Cooked Zatarain's Yellow Rice
  • 2 Cups of Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Method

Take a large pot and brown the turkey meat. Add hot sauce, kidney beans, diced peppers, all seasonings, tomato sauce, and crushed tomatoes; mix together. Bring just to boiling, then let it simmer at a low heat, covered, for a good 10 minutes. Turn the pan off and remove top. Take a plate and put some yellow rice on the plate then take the turkey chili and put some on top then for the final step sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese over the meal.
