
This beet soup also contains potatoes, carrots, onion and cabbage and has some vinegar for tang. Add a dollop of sour cream atop each serving.
Pour water in the pot and start to boil. While the water is boiling, peel potatoes, beets and carrots, then cut them and onion into small pieces.
When the water is ready put beets, potatoes, onions, & carrots in the water. Cook vegetables till they get soft. Add vinegar, bouillon, salt and pepper in and mix them together.
When the vagetables are cooked till softened, cut cabbige into small pieces too, then put cabbage in and cook 15 minutes. After it is done, put in the bowl and put a spoon of sour cream on top.
Notes:
If you wish, you may use vegetable bouillon cubes instead of the beef.
