Battleswharf Okra Gumbo

This gumbo is a mixture of okra, tomatoes, onion, corn, and both regular & hot sausages, in seasonings that include Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, catsup and Old Bay. File powder is added at the end.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Okra, sliced
- 2 large tomatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can shoepeg corn
- 1/2 lb hot (Conecuh) sausage, sliced
- 1/2 lb regular (Conecuh) sausage, sliced
- 1 Tbs. Mrs. Dash seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1 Tbs. (Lee & Perin's) Worchestershire sauce
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup catsup
- 1/2 Tbs. Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. Gumbo file powder

Method
Place all ingredients together in large pot with lid; cook until vegetables are tender. Add file powder for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Serve in bowls.
Notes: If this gets too thick during cooking you may need to add a small amount of water until desired consistency. If the hot sausage is too spicy, just use all regular sausage. Wonderful served with homemade cornbread.
